IJIMR POLICY

Commitment to Originality

The International Journal of Intellectual Multidisciplinary Research (IJIMR) expects all submitted manuscripts to represent original scholarly work.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are their own original work and that all sources, ideas, data, quotations, and previously published material are appropriately acknowledged.

Plagiarism, duplicate publication, substantial unattributed reuse of published material, and other forms of academic misconduct are not acceptable.

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

What Is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism involves presenting another person's work, ideas, words, data, or intellectual contribution as one's own without appropriate acknowledgement.

!

Originality Matters

Authors should properly cite and acknowledge the sources used in preparing their manuscripts. Direct quotations, paraphrased ideas, data, figures, tables, and other borrowed material should be appropriately attributed.

01

Direct Plagiarism

Copying words or passages from another source without appropriate quotation and attribution.

02

Paraphrasing Without Attribution

Rewriting another author's ideas or content without giving appropriate credit to the original source.

03

Duplicate Publication

Submitting substantially similar work that has already been published or is simultaneously under consideration elsewhere.

04

Self-Plagiarism

Reusing substantial portions of one's previously published work without proper disclosure or acknowledgement.

MANUSCRIPT SCREENING

Similarity Checking

Submitted manuscripts may undergo plagiarism or similarity screening as part of the editorial evaluation process.

01

Initial Screening

Manuscripts may be checked for textual similarity and potential overlap with existing published material.

02

Editorial Assessment

Similarity results may be reviewed by the editorial team in the context of the manuscript and its references.

03

Further Evaluation

Where significant concerns arise, additional editorial assessment may be undertaken before a publication decision is made.

Important: A similarity percentage by itself does not automatically establish plagiarism. The nature, source, context, and location of the matched material should be considered.
AUTHOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are expected to maintain high standards of academic integrity before, during, and after manuscript submission.

01

Submit Original Work

Ensure that the submitted manuscript represents original scholarly research.

02

Cite Sources Properly

Give appropriate credit to sources, ideas, quotations, data, and previous work.

03

Avoid Duplicate Submission

Do not submit substantially the same manuscript simultaneously to multiple journals.

04

Disclose Previous Work

Clearly disclose relevant previous publications or reused material where applicable.

02
EDITORIAL INTEGRITY

Handling Plagiarism

01

Manuscript Screening

Potential concerns may be identified during editorial or similarity screening.

02

Editorial Review

The editorial team may examine the concern and relevant evidence before making a decision.

03

Where appropriate, authors may be contacted for clarification or explanation.
